Based on customer feedback, downloading Medicare cost reports as a PDF is less confusing and much faster for popular reports.  We have also cleaned up some of the reports and added some more calculated fields.

• We now process requested PDFs in the background.  You can request a download and then wait or come back to click the link later and it will download immediately.  Normally the wait should be less than a minute.

• As just mentioned, we cache a good amount of generated reports.  This means that once a user has downloaded a report, then the download should start right away for all the other users requesting that report.
• We have added numerous ‘calculated fields’ to the reports so the forms are a little more complete with information that we calculate on the fly in addition to the information provided by HCRIS.
• Some users were reporting issues when viewing the reports on certain systems.  These should all be resolved now for users viewing using Adobe Reader.  We still have a few issues with Preview on Macs.

We are currently updating all of our SNF Medicaid data but we pushed this update out early because some users were having issues downloading their purchased reports.
